E. NESS marked the release of his highly-anticipated album, "E. NESS & FRIENDS," by hosting an exclusive album release party at 1122 MMG Studios in Philadelphia on Sept. 30th, which drew the likes of DutchieMan, Red Snapperrr, Acedakhemist, Philly's own Ghetto Reese, Cadet The Living Legend, King Shinobe and many more.
While the Philly connections were immediately apparent by the dope artists attending, the out-of-towners who performed really put on electrifying performances that earned the respect of the crowd that night. The mega multi-talented group hailing from Delaware, DTR Records, turned the vibes all up with their soul-shocking stage presence. Cadet the Living Legend came through and put on for the DMV with his lyrical and lethal performance.
E. NESS, whose album is out via 54 Vill ENT, has been making waves throughout the industry with some star-studded features from Method Man, Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk, Philly's newly emerging Benny the Butcher, and more. This album is truly the comeback the Philly Hip-Hop scene has been patiently waiting to arrive. He combines his gritty voice, battle-rap punch lines, and uncut flow into this project to give us a trifecta-winning combination of production, lyrical flow, and artistic execution.
"E. NESS & Friends" clocks in at 13 tracks with a star-studded list of features. The title is inspired by the deep-rooted relationships he has with the artists he collaborated with on this project, so it alludes to the ultra-personal nature of the album, which exposes listeners to many hip-hop references, hidden gem samples, and trips down memory lane.
Upon entering the venue, guests were welcomed by local vendors, curated cocktails, good food, and of course, long-time supporters and friends of E. NESS. The whole evening was a usual occasion because, as the album's name states, "E. NESS & Friends" all came out to share their love for hip-hop and to show love to one of Philly's finest.
