New Music : Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L (The Dancer to My Demons) Album

Havent heard of Breon? Great heres some new music!

Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L is navigating through his own universe. The Brooklyn born hip-hop artist began writing as a form of self-recognition, but the floaty ambivalence of his music paired with his gymnastic lyrical abilities immediately caught the ears of the people around him. Producer WhatsHisName, and member of Free Creation Label, provides the interplanetary vibe that rides underneath all of Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L’s stories. Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L consistently reinforces the notion we’re all just witnessing the world turn, and that every once in a while we enter its orbit to engage with life, love, sex, inebriation and solitude. Poignant, but often playful, Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L and his music is a full bodied reflection of a great mind and musical talent at work.

In double single releases ‘Ballerina’ and ‘Black Bird’, Breon focuses on the aspect of
relationships, and how they have differed throughout his life. ‘Ballerina’ is captivating from the very start, with the airy synthesizers working in harmony with one another, before Breon’s voice melts the track into his familiar ambient hip-hop style.
The bass seems to act as a heartbeat throughout the track, as it sinks into what sounds like
re-enacted conversation between S.Y.N.D.E.L and an ex-lover to end the song, leaving you
wanting more. The title of the track relates to a time where this woman was the only ‘drug’ that mattered to Breon, and this high that was felt is simulated by the whole instrumentation and arrangement if it.

In second track ‘Black Bird’, Breon describes how everyone has their own demons and how
sometimes, you can lose control. This is heard by a reversed synth that provides a mellow
introduction to the song, but soon changes into a deeper, slower tempo, representing a shift in mood and S.Y.N.D.E.L really lets his lyrics do the talking. This a personal vendetta against himself for maybe having too much of a dark side, but the result is one which keeps the ear keen and listening for what heartfelt rhymes are coming next.
There is a similarity with both tracks, in that you are just wanting to hit repeat again and again. S.Y.N.D.E.L has found a knack for creating a lightly balanced hip-hop production and sound, with a hard hitting and pulsating message that will attract more than just the average hip-hop and rap enthusiasts. Breon’s blend of hip-hop can speak to varying audiences, who will surely be hearing about him very soon.
